For 14+ years, I’ve been helping people and organizations tell great stories.

As a consulting editor at Writer’s Side, Asia’s #1 literary agency for authors. And as a personal essay consultant for hundreds of MBA / MS applicants.

#1 Brand communication

I work with D2C and B2B brands to help them:

  • discover and shape their brand voice
  • tell their story effectively on different channels
  • plan their initial content strategy and calendar
  • co-create brand and communication playbooks

Sometimes, I stay on to mentor the in-house creative team, helping them establish best practices, become creative on demand, and balance the call of creativity with the needs of the business.

#2 Freelance writing

I ideate, plan, write, and edit as the situation demands. I am especially good at long form writing (in-depth stories, thought leadership articles), case studies, marketing & sales enablement content (website and landing pages, ads, e-books, explainer videos), and email newsletters.

The kind of writing I no longer do: one-off blogs, product descriptions, ad films, radio, social media posts.

About Murder, She Wrote

I am a lifelong fan of detective fiction in books and on screen. Since 2024, I’ve been writing About Murder, She Wrote, a weekly(ish) newsletter with reflections, commentary and lots of recommendations from the genre.

Why are people interested in something dark like murder? Why do great detectives need an idiot friend around to solve crimes (case in point: Holmes & Watson)? There is violence in Agatha Christie’s works—just not the kind you think. These are the sort of questions I examine.
